October week break

There will be NO coaching from Sunday 13th October until Friday 18th October. Coaching restarts and runs for 7 weeks till Friday 6th December. Thank you to everyone who has paid for this 13 week block. If you haven't yet paid, please contact minitennis@glasgowwestern.co.uk.

Coaching will resume after the Christmas holidays on Sunday 12th January. More details to follow in a few weeks.

October Week Camps

There is no camp running at Western this holiday week but there are camps running at Hillhead. If interested, please click here or contact Gordon on 07981 905 303.

There is also a BRAND NEW camp running at Kelvinside Academy for two weeks of the school holidays. This camp is open to pupils from all schools. The camp will offer football from Ian McCall and tennis from Western Tennis Coaches. For more details and to book, please click here

Club Championships Finals Day $ BBQ - Saturday 5th October - Please come along!

This years tennis club champs finals will be held on Saturday with play starting from 11am. (Schedule below)

There will also be an open Ballotted doubles event which you can sign up for on the day between 11-12 noon. A great fun event for allstandards with a trophy for the winners! Just turn up on the day - £5 entry fee

Plus a barbecue from 1pm (good weather is forecast)

Both the mens and ladies singles finals kick off at 1pm along with the girls under 14 final.

330pm - Mens over 35 singles/Boys U12 singles/Ladies Doubles finals

5pm - Mixed Doubles/Ballotted Doubles/Under 14 doubles finals

6pm - Presentation/Prizegiving

PS Apart from the barbecue there will be some home baking from North Star in Queen Margaret Drive on sale at the bar. As if the tennis wasn't enough!
