On Saturday 28th June we will be holding a charity tennis event in memory of Elena Baltacha who died recently of liver cancer. Elena was a true inspiration not only as a tennis player but also as a person in the way she lived life. Her legacy will continue through the Elena Baltacha Tennis Academy (EBAT) that she founded to provide tennis opportunities for boys and girls from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a club we had been planning on running an Open Day in June and the coaches have decided to organise a fundraising dimension to this that would raise money for Macmillan Cancer Trust and EBAT.Our idea is to put on a wonderful fun filled day which will mirror the Rally for Bally event being run at Queens Club on Sunday 15th June in memory of Elena. All the profits from our event will be spilt equally between our nominated charities. The event has grown arms and legs and our celebrity list is growing ever longer with Sanjeev Kohli and Greg Hemphill (Still Game), Kaye Adams (Loose Women), Judith Ralston (BBC Weather Presenter), Alan Rough (former Scotland International goalkeeper), Ian McCall (Scottish football player and manager), Alison Walker and Rob MacLean (Sports commentators) all confirmed for our celebrity showdown. We expect that this event is going to generate a lot of publicity and so we are going to make it ticketed and give club members first opportunity to buy tickets before we go out to the general public. Tickets will cost £20 for adults and £15 for children. The ticket price will include food from Paperinos who are organising the catering. On the day we will have a raffle and an auction in a bid to raise as much money as we can. We are also hoping to have an online platform for people to make donations also as we work towards out target of £10k.At the moment, we are inviting expressions of interest via the online form (link HERE). If you fill in the form, we will contact you first when the tickets go live. We are also looking for members to help with logistics on the day and we would ask if you were willing to give up an hour of your time to indicate this on the form also. Due to the fact that it is a charity event with all proceeds going to charity, we would request that you assume that you need to pay for a ticket too!We look forward to hearing from you and also would be delighted to hear from any members who think they could make a donation to the raffle or auction.Best wishes and let's see what we can achieve as a club in our community for a great cause.

Quite an interesting post regarding the rally for bally charity event. Keep sharing such informative event details here. At the local garden San Francisco event venues we also hosted the fundraising show for the education of some kids. It was such a big hit!
